I received feedback of my Individual Performance Factor (IPF) today, which determines my Individual Performance Bonus (IPB) and my salary increment. It's not really outstanding but just as I expected. Alhamdulillah.

It's the same snail but this time taken at night. I put it in a flower pot, waited for it to start moving and took it's photos. Patience paid off... my neighbour must have thought that I'm crazy, waiting by a flower pot at night and then started firing my camera flashes after waiting for nearly half an hour.

I''ve been stalking this guy as well and its even worse coz it's always in the undergrowth. I'll continue stalking it from time to time to get a good photo.

new skills

I heard from my sons about the skateboarding competition at the lagoon area near Masjid Pandan today. I must have been brave coz when I looked around there were only about 5 adults there. I stayed around for a few minutes only and took a few photos. Of the four skaters that I've seen, this youngster was not that bad. By the way, one of them fell down and injured himself. By the look of it, we're a long way off from producing a real skateboard contender... or maybe I've missed the real action.

Another nice catch today... yes, we caught it on camera. How I wish I have that 100-400mm because this bird was very elusive and flew off when we tried to get a bit nearer.

After stalking this grasshopper for days, it must have got fed up with me today and decided to just stop and pose for me. Or maybe it's not the one that I had been stalking.

The last time I went to Tasik Lama was more than 20 years ago, during my more youthful year. The sharp shooters were informed that there is going to be a rock climbing session today (the lady in red was our informer and you should see her climb. She made it look so easy) and we braved the unpredictable weather to try to capture what we can... This group of young people are really enthusiastic about their hobby and we cannot just let them do it without sharing their passion to visitors to our site. These are just some of the photos, some taken by myself suspended from a rope a few metres above ground level. Enjoy...
