The start of the 42km full marathon...
My niece at far left. Must have been easy for her. She finished 6th and won herself a medal and B$500. Congrats and well done.
My bro-in-law. It's a piece of cake, no problem.

Looking at some of the end product...something must be interesting?
The Brunei winners
I've just got up after catching up with a few lost sleeping hours. Slept after 12 last night and woke up at 3.25 this morning to be at the starting line before 4.30. I did not take part in the marathon (altho I've registered for the 6km fun run!) but joined Gemilang Association as the official photographer for the event. And to make things worse, it was raining. I've taken photos "during the rain" but this is the first time "in the rain". With my expensive toy, I did not want to take any risk and had to shoot the start of the marathon under an umbrella. Luckily the rain stopped when I was shooting on location in Subok.

Nice pics :-) What camera you got, if you don't mind me asking. Is it Nikon D80/D100 or Canon 20D/30D?
Thanks Jewelle. It's a Canon 20D. I read in your blog that your hubby thinking of buying a DSLR. Should go for either the Canon 30D or 400D or the Nikon D200 or D80. The girls he mentioned with expensive cameras must be from our group of Gemilang Foto, the official photographers of the event.
I think some of the cameras you mentioned are those that he is considering. Thanks for the tip!
