Question.. Wat lens range are you using? Thought of getting a macro lens after getting a new wide lens..

100mm f/2.8. A sifu told me that the 180mm f/3.5L is also very good.

Ok.. so if I wanted a closer view of the subject I should have to get the longer range right? Of course lah.. Silly question.

One more question.. Since u're using a prime lens, the range doesn't change. Can you go closer to the subject and get a bigger close up?

Bro OOF, not really a silly question. The range depends on what you want to macro. The longer the range the further the distance between you and the subject but the macro may still be 1:1 and a shorter range may still limit the macro to 1:1 as well. The 100mm for example has a minimum focusing distance of 15cm/6" from the subject to give a 1:1 macro (the same size of the subject in real life) whilst the 180mm can do this at a minimum focusing distance of 24cm/9" (based on what I read).

skodeng lalat mengawan atu inda lah. kebetulan sja. but skodeng lalat, to be honest yes. after my 1st macro of the various lalat around my house last year, I found them fascinating, esp. the langau with its bright blue belly.
